A mother accused of dumping her baby girl in a bush told prosecutors she didn't want to be a mother and doesn't want to see her child.  Sidney Woytasczyk, 21, is charged with child abandonment after abandoning her newborn in a flowerbed near her Houston apartment. BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Two people have been arrested and are facing child abuse charges in Burlington, according to a news release from Burlington police . Daniel Anthony Beraducci Jr ., 36, of Mebane, and Marissa Caitlin Berarducci , 26, of Burlington, are each charged with two counts of felony child abuse . On Thursday, Burlington police initiated an investigation into alleged child abuse at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Atwood Drive in Burlington after being tipped off by the Department of Social Services. Police say the mother and stepfather allegedly inflicted serious mental injury on their 6-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. The couple also had a third child, but so far police say there is no indication that that child was also abused. Sgt. Bryan Petty, with the Burlington Police Department , says more details on the alleged abuse could not be released at this time because the investigation is ongoing. He said the situation was unusual. Officers with the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force took part in a probation search Wednesday at an apartment at 111 Cottonwood St., the home of Jacob Zefferino Gomez , according to court documents . Officers said the apartment appeared to be a "flop house" where people come to buy and use drugs. Inside Gomez's bedroom, law enforcement said they found a black case containing a bag with 0.6 grams of heroin and a small amount of marijuana. Officers also said they located a digital scale, commonly used to weigh drugs, in Gomez's closet. Task Force officers said 0.6 grams of heroin is an amount not commonly possessed for personal use. That and the digital scale led to a Class B felony charge for possession with heroin with intent to sell. Gomez, 34, also was charged with child endangerment, a Class C felony, because his two-year-old child was in the residence. Adam Walter Searles , 28, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2017, on an outstanding arrest warrant issued back in May by the Strafford County Superior Court for bail violations stemming from original charges of burglary, credit card fraud and drug offenses. LAKE CITY, Fla. - A man died after being punched several times, according to the Lake City Police Department . Officers responded to Windsong Apartments shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday night after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. When officers arrived, they found Christopher Roy , 39, unconscious. Police identified the suspect as Mario Brinson, 27, who was still in the apartment when officers arrived. Lake City police said Brinson tried several times to get to Roy by forcefully pushing officers aside until he was told to leave the apartment. Witnesses in the apartment told officers that Brinson and Roy had gotten into an argument, then “bowed up” at each other. Brinson then punched Roy once in the face with his fist and Roy spun around and fell face first to the kitchen floor, losing consciousness, according to police. BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - Police say a Broken Arrow man convicted last year of indecent exposure is back in jail on three more complaints. He is identified as Robert Long, 29. Police arrested Long on Monday, August 14, 2017, for exposing himself to at least three women and a child. His arrest report states Robert Long flashed a woman and a two-year-old child near 101st and Aspen on Monday. Police say he also exposed himself to another woman while standing near a mailbox. After his arrest, another woman told police Robert Long exposed himself to her back on July 29th. Police said she identified Long out of a photo lineup. Police say Long was released from prison on July 14th for the same offense in 2016. Long is being held in the Tulsa County jail . Jail records show he has a court appearance set for August 21st.

ORLANDO, Fla. — After three days, Orlando police have yet to find any sign of Baby Willow. Investigators, along with city of Orlando crews searched sewer lines for any sign of the missing infant on Wednesday. Those searches and the reexamination of dumpsters from the Willow Bend Apartment Complex failed to yield any evidence, police said. An Oxford University worker has been charged with murder after a man's body was discovered in an apartment with more than 40 stab wounds . Andrew Warren, 56, a senior treasury assistant at the institution's Somerville College, is accused alongside Professor Wyndham Lathem , 42, of murdering Trenton Cornell -Duranleau. The former manager of a senior living center in Missoula was formally charged with financial elder abuse and theft on Friday. Ron Nelson, 51, allegedly used his position at River Ridge Apartments to gain residents' sympathy and trust while extorting nearly $50,000, according to charging documents. Nelson worked as the manager of River Ridge Apartments for about 18 months, from November 2004 until he was fired in April 2006, when authorities in Missoula began unraveling an intricate scheme to embezzle money from the independent living center and more than 20 individual tenants, according to records. During his appearance Friday in Missoula County Justice Court , Nelson was charged with four counts of felony elder abuse , one count of felony theft, five counts of misdemeanor elder abuse and two counts of misdemeanor theft.
