Residents have begun moving into the River House, a two- building apartment complex at 1785 N. Water St. consisting of 243 units. Developed by Atlanta- based Atlantic Realty Partners , the project marks the first entry into the city for the firm founded by two brothers originally from Whitefish Bay. The company, which has developed approximately 8,000 rental units across the country, has a handful of other developments in the Milwaukee area , including a cluster of buildings on W. State St. in Wauwatosa. I toured the complex in late January with property manager Alexis Criscimagna and Atlantic Realty Partners project manager Matthew Schossow . Marie Veis has what she calls a “no risk, no fun attitude.” It was this spirit that compelled her and her partner, Roland Hofer, to leave behind their recently renovated apartment and buy a nearby rundown wine tavern that had fallen into bankruptcy. They had been living not far from the tavern in the upscale Austrian spa town of Baden bei Wien , about 20 miles southwest of Vienna. The property consisted of a ramshackle two-story, 19th- century house facing the street and a concrete-and-wood pavilion in the courtyard. The tavern owner lived in the house, and drinkers gathered in the rustic pavilion. By 2011, the compound was in receivership, and the couple figured the $410,700 asking price was a bargain. Ms. Veis, now 40, and Mr. Hofer, now 39, decided to tear down the pavilion and build a new three-story villa on the property, with a funky, wide- open floor plan and freewheeling finishes. Jeffrey Dunne, David Gavin and Travis Langer of CBRE’s Institutional Properties represented the sellers. CBRE Global Investors purchased the Property. Stamford Towers is comprised of two adjacent Class A office buildings located in the Stamford CBD, one block from the Stamford Transportation Center . CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Lyndhurst hotel and a pair of projects that will bring nearly 500 apartments to Cleveland won financing support Tuesday from the Cleveland- Cuyahoga County Port Authority . The port's board signed off on nearly $200 million in real estate- related bond transactions , setting the stage for construction to start within months on a trio of projects. The agency acts as a conduit for development financing, issuing bonds and helping to structure deals that involve longer terms , lower interest rates or cheaper construction materials than a borrower might find in the private market. Tuesday's headline deals were: A  Hyatt Place hotel and a 355- space parking garage at the Legacy Village shopping center in Lyndhurst. 465 North Park is a 48-story, 444- unit apartment tower under construction at 465 N Park Dr in Streeterville. The building has nearly 12,000 square feet of ground- floor retail space and 181 resident-only parking spaces. The building is targeting LEED Silver certification . The groundbreaking ceremony for the building was held in September of 2016. First occupancy is slated for the summer of 2018. Jupiter Realty is the developer with Pappageorge Haymes as the architecture firm and Power Construction as the general contractor. Former footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have revealed a new Hodder + Partners- designed tower  for Manchester, England, after dropping their original designs following uproar over the plan to raze several historic buildings . The former Manchester United players -turned-devlopers are working with  Burnley Football Club owner Brendan Flood on the plans for the St Michael's scheme, which they first unveiled in August 2016. Imagine paying a multimillion-dollar sum for an apartment you’d stay in once a month. In Bayside, that’s a reality. Jacobs Buyer Advocates director Nicole Jacobs said some buyers spending big in Bayside’s high- end apartment market might only touch base with their luxury pad for a fleeting moment. “They might stay there once a month, and spend the rest of the time down on the Peninsula,” Ms Jacobs said. Ms Jacob’s comments came as realestate.com.au showed there were just seven apartments listed across Bayside with asking prices of more than $2 million. “There’s more off-market, ranging from $3.5 million-$5 million and even higher,” Ms Jacobs said. Willow Springs Apartments will be located off of Bixler Avenue, north of US 70 and behind the now-closed Cattleman’s Steak House on Bataan Memorial West . The property is being developed by Dillon Mountain Enterprises , LLC. which is owned by Paul Curry and his son, Jared Curry. The Currys acquired the property in 2006 from a church which had plans to build on the site but opted to purchase a building in town instead. Construction on the 14.12-acre property will require the Currys to pave more than 1,000 feet of Bixler Avenue, one of the city’s oldest platted but undeveloped rights-of-way. Lake+Forest A joint partnership between Wood Partners, LLC and Chicago-based Golub & Company recently broke ground on a 1.6-acre, 270- unit luxury rental community in Oak Park, Ill. Lake + Forest consists of a 21-story, 240,000-square- foot building located on Forest Ave. in the suburban village of Oak Park, and is designed by award- winning architecture firm Gensler .
