Hundreds of west side residents ... More Headlines MADISON, Wis. - Community leaders on Madison’s west side are hoping to silence gunshots with a show of unity. The “Stop the Violence, Save Our Children” March will be held Saturday in response to a string of violent events in the Meadowood Neighborhood. The march, organized by Club TNT, is expected to attract about 400 people. Six area churches including the Good Shepherd Church and Our Redeemer Church will be participating. Pastor Joe Brosius from Good Shepherd Church said it’s important for the community to take a stand, because children in the neighborhood are being negatively affected by gun violence. “It's impacting them a lot more than I think we give credit to,” Brosius said. “It's stuff that I never grew up with and most adults in Madison never dreamed of growing up with or worrying about… that a bullet is going to come through your window."
