Fashion designer and Project Runway judge Zac Posen — known for dressing celebs from Michelle Obama to Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow — has sold his Sutton Place apartment at 345 E. 57th St. for $1.15 million, according to city property records . The news was first reported by the Observer. He bought the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit for $925,000 in 2013. This recent transaction appears to have taken place off-market. The apartment comes with high ceilings, hardwood floors, lots of built-ins and a decorative fireplace. The buyer is identified in records as Karen Strauss. Posen now lives in an Upper East Side penthouse pad that he bought for $3.5 million at 210 E. 73rd St. earlier this year. Very friendly host. Big room with a balcony. Big comfortable beds . Some equipments and good oven to make a dinner or breakfast. Water that was flowing straight on the floor in the bathroom while you have a shower. This hotel isn't pink like in photos, it is white now, it was a little bit confusing when we arrived. Also I suggest to bring some more facilities in the room, like chopping board, good knife. And you should be careful with a refrigerator because if you use max cold level of it, your products will become icy. We had a cheapest apartment and I believe that apartments in upper floors have a better view so if you want to stay here for a couple of days you better choose these apartments. We haven't tried a pool but it looks good. In conclusion: good place, there are a taverna not so far from this hotel where you can get a discount if you are resident of this hotel.
