WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Several people without a home Tuesday night after fire ripped through the Wellston Ridge Apartments in Warner Robins Monday night . No one was hurt, but seven of those units are completely destroyed . “It moved like a monster,” said Miguel Jimenez. “I pulled up and it was going.” He came home to see his apartment complex up in flames and immediately ran inside to grab his wife and dog. Seven homes completely destroyed within minutes. The Warner Robins Fire Department hasn ’t said exactly how the fire started, but Jimenez says she had something to do with it. “The girl (neighbor) on the porch when I pulled up,” said Jimenez. “She just walked up to me like there was nothing going on, she asked me to use my phone and I was like ‘yeah, sure’ well I need to call the fire department , my kitchen’s on fire.” The fire department got the call around five in the afternoon, but the f...

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) - An early morning fire at an apartment complex forced the evacuation of the building and displaced one family in Salt Lake City Thursday .  Dispatchers received the call at 1:35 a.m. of smoke coming from the basement of an apartment located at 79 North A street (200 East).  When crews arrived there were visible flames coming from the basement of the complex, where a couple in their 20s, along with an infant lived. That family, along with 30 others were evacuated from the building without injury. It took firefighters about 25-30 minutes to put the fire completely out due to heavy flames and smoke traveling up the unit however investigators said the complex is not a total loss.  Foul play is not suspected, a cause of the fire and an estimate of damages was not immediately known. 

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In Los Angeles on Monday there were large fires at buildings undergoing construction . San Francisco saw a similar large fire at an apartment complex undergoing construction back in March. The building known as MB360 block five in San Francisco was supposed to open this past August; now we're still a long way from move in day, but compared to the morning after the fire --- things are looking good. It took 150 firefighters hours to extinguish a fire that erased months of hard work. Video showed the destruction just a few days later and parts of the building getting demolished. Construction workers estimate the 172-unit complex was 80 percent complete prior to the March 11 fire. Investigators ruled it an accident, most likely the result of welding work on the top floor. SAN DIEGO -- A SWAT standoff that began as a report of a woman firing gunshots at an apartment complex has concluded peacefully with the suspect in custody Thursday afternoon .  Police say woman who shot at her neighbor and caused a 7-hour standoff in Clairemont is 35-year-old Brittney Lefler .
