No one home when apartment bedroom burns in Rancho Cucamonga
RANCHO CUCAMONGA >> No one was injured in a fire that was contained to a bedroom in an apartment Friday evening, a fire official reported.
The fire was reported 4:53 p.m. at the Mountainside Apartments at Foothill Boulevard and Hellman Avenue, wrote Kelley Donaldson, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District spokesperson, in an email.
No one was home at the time, she wrote.
“Residents will be temporarily relocated to another apartment in the complex,” she added.
Fire investigators estimated damages to the room and its contents at $25,000 and hadn’t determined a cause by 11 p.m.
